Korouoma, the North Adventure Centre, waits earnestly for its conquerors! The massive steep precipices of the gorge canyons-one hundred metres in height-are a challenge to adventurers all year round. Winter ice-climbing can already be initiated in December. Korouoma's icefalls do not melt until June. Novices get to enjoy the spirit of adventure under the direction of well-experienced professional guides. he rift valley, thirty kilometres in length, is one of the nation's most spectacular natural attractions. Easily negotiable nature trails proceed across the virgin primeval forest along the walls of the can-yon by way of descending runnels. The rewards of a longer hike are received on the twenty-six kilometre-long Erauspoika Trail, which extends right through Korouoma.
